Haor Horizen Program,Bangladesh

The Haor Horizon program is a pioneering cross-cultural community development initiative that brings together Chinese youth volunteers and local families in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Designed as a collaborative effort between the School of Conscience, the University of Rajshahi, local NGOs, and the Bangladesh Tourism Board, this program aims to foster sustainable development through education, economic empowerment, and cultural exchange.

Over four weeks, volunteers will live with host households, working side by side to address local challenges—from improving hygiene and education to supporting small-scale economic projects. By combining grassroots action with intercultural learning, Haor Horizon seeks to create lasting impacts for communities while building bridges of understanding between China and Bangladesh.

Join us in this transformative journey to empower rural Sylhet and cultivate a model of people-centered development that resonates globally.
